I thought it was necessary to record this song because the industry has always seen the South as being behind in terms of creativity. I set out to prove that there is more to the South than "crunk music and country niggas." I wrote this song after watching 2-3 ignorant videos in a row on BET.

Ugly heroes is one of my favorite groups of all time. For me Verbal Kent's voice is just euphoric, and then you have Red Pill on top of that?! It's amazing but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Their talent only shines through so well because of Apollo here and I love it. I listen to the album nonstop and it inspires me when i write my own shit.
